Kat’s Alignment Masterclass will show you how to really embody a yoga pose, in a way that feels comfortable and appropriate for you.
The yoga sutra’s of Patanjali encourage us to find comfort and steadiness in each pose, ‘sthira sukham asanam’ because when the body is strong and stable, the mind becomes clear and steady.
During this session, we will deconstruct a series of familiar poses and explore the importance of aligning your body in a certain way. You discover how to break down and adapt postures to suit your anatomy and needs, as well as some preparation poses that will help you grow.
Together we will review spinal alignment and the role it plays in asana practice, the principles of dynamic stability and the value of building a pose from the ground up.
This workshop will take you deeper into practice and aid you on your yoga journey towards building the strength and stability to support flexibility and a sense of gentleness and ease in the mind.
Following a short opening meditation, this masterclass will be experiential, experimental and interactive. Part-lecture, part practice will explore the fundamental postures in the sun salutations as a framework for our learning.

I am not married to one method, teacher or philosophy, instead I look at my students and aim to offer them an experience that is meaningful, relevant and available both on and off the mat.
